Professor Manuel Célio Conceição is former pro-rector of the university (2010-2013) and former Dean of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences (2016-2020).
Member of the General Board of the University (since 2016), coordinator (scientific and pedagogical) of the area languages, researcher at the Research Center for Arts and Communication (CIAC), responsible for the development of teacher training programs for secondary education.
He is President ex officio of the Conseil Européen pour les Langues/ European Language Council and Evaluation Expert agencies for quality in research in different national agencies (Italy, Romania, Lithuania, Netherlands, Belgium). Coordinator or member of several European projects about multilingualism and languages in
Higher Education (for example: MIME; LISTIAC, MAGICC, DYLAN..).
