My name is Valentina Stinga and I am an associate professor at the University of Pitesti, Romania, Department of Language and Literature, History and Arts. I have an M.A. in British Cultural Studies and a PhD in British Philology. Since 2004, when I started my academic career, I have been teaching lectures in Contemporary English Language, Computer-Assisted Translation, British Culture and Civilization or Grammar Practice, to give just a few examples. In addition, I have been working as sworn translator since 2009 and have had the chance to collaborate with European institutions. I have also participated in numerous Erasmus+ projects, which stirred my interest in such key and varied topics as inclusion, diversity, disability etc. I have always considered that education is a lifelong process of empowerment and adopted that belief in the relations I have created with my students.
